Group Project
One Month
Objective:
Evaluate Wentworth's Annex Building and create an Executive Summary that informs your signage and wayfinding redesign of the Annex Building while keeping within Wentworth's branding guidelines.
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
We began by evaluating the Annex Building's architectural style, current condition, existing signage and wayfinding, visitor types, and their journey's through the Building.
COLORS, MATERIALS, AND ROOMTYPES
We documented the buildings current use of Colors and Materials as well as documented what types of rooms were currently in the building.
EXISTING ICONOGRAPHY
Next we dissected and evaluated the existing signage in the building.
EXISTING STAKEHOLDERS AND WAYFINDING
Finally, we looked at the current stakeholders, and documented their journey through the building through each floor.
INITIAL CONCEPTS
Each group member was tasked with brainstorming concepts separately and coming up with a sign examples to present.
DOOR SIGN EXPLORATION
After creating our initial concepts we each identified what we liked from each concept and created different door sign concepts
FINAL REFINEMENT
We worked as a team using scale paper versions of our signs to get the type sizing, sign sizing, colors, and design finalized.

We updated all the existing signs to match the specifications of the finalized door sign, as well as did in context examples, and sign type information pages and maps.
